Ingrid Kössler

 

Ingrid Kössler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg, School of Economics and Commercial Law.

Ingrid Kössler has been involved in the Breast Cancer Organisation since 1988, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was president of the Swedish Breast Cancer Association from 2001 to 2010. In 2004, Ingrid became a Board Member of EUROPA DONNA and was later president (2006- 2008). Ingrid has been a member of the Foundation Council of International Breast Cancer Study Group since 2007.

Due to family and personal experiences from other cancer diagnoses, Ingrid has developed a broader interest and engagement in the combat of cancer. She served as a board member of the Swedish Cancer Society 2005-2009 and was an expert in the Official Inquiry on a National Cancer Control Strategy. She is now involved in the implementation of the National Cancer Control Strategy in Sweden.

Ingrid Kössler has been a Member of the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels since 2006. In 2009, she was a rapporteur on the European Partnership for Action Against Cancer.

 

Ingrid was co-opted to the ECPC Board of Directors in 2011. The appointment was approved unanimously at the AGM in November 2011, and was appointed Treasurer in March 2012. She also sits on the Finance Committee.
