My story

20 years ago I was diagnosed with colon cancer with a permanent stoma. I am now 74 years old and I have 3 sons, 2 of which are married. Plus 12 grandchildren. After my diagnosis I became actively involved in Israel's cancer association. The Israel's ostomy association is part of the Israel cancer association.

My Organisation

I am the president of the Israel Ostomy Association for 18 years now. The Israel Ostomy Association has more than 1200 registered members. 12 years ago when my health was low we to form a coalition of patients organisations -  the Israel Cancer Association. Currently we have more than 60 organisations in the coalition, and I`m also the chairmen of the coalition. As reprentative of Israeli patients I am a member of the National Health Council and chairmen of its patient rights committee. I attend all forums dealing in health matters in Israel, especially parliament committees and handle the media as well. I remain very active in defending patient rights.
